Following are the limitations of the features:
Supervisor Role:
-
Department membership is authoritative only when agents are placed in
/Departments/<name>groups. -
Agent usernames in Keycloak must match the recording
agentIdvalues used by VRS (same identifier convention as today). -
Service account requires
view-users; if revoked, supervisor resolution fails safe to empty allowed list (no elevated access). -
Admin and agent workflows are intentionally unchanged for backward compatibility with existing VRS clients.
Session Timeout:
-
If the user has multiple VRS tabs open, an expiry in one tab eventually triggers a logout/refresh in the others.
Operations Dashboard and call tagging (14.11.0):
-
Operations Dashboard and call tagging (including multi-tag and simplified tag roles) apply to Cisco UCCE / UCCX only — not EFCX.
-
Formal testing in 14.11.0 was on UCCE; UCCX is supported for these features but was not formally tested.
Operations Dashboard — no department scoping (14.11.0):
-
Limitation: The Operations Dashboard does not apply department/group scoping for supervisors. A user with the
supervisorrole sees the same tenant-wide metrics as anadminfor the selected date range and skill filter (unlike Media Recordings). -
Impact: Supervisors may see volumes and skill-group figures that include teams outside their own group.
-
Workaround: Use Media Recordings for department-scoped call lists. Restrict dashboard access by role policy if a tenant-wide ops view is not appropriate for all supervisors.
