  Description

Archival Service Enhancements

The Archival Service now includes a fully integrated front-end interface, allowing users to configure archival and purging policies directly through the VRS GUI. Users can enable or disable archiving, define the number of days after which recordings should be archived, and choose between "Copy and Archive" or "Archive Only" modes. The "Copy and Archive" option retains the original files on the recorder after transferring them to the archival server, while "Archive Only" moves the files entirely. The configuration also supports setting up SFTP server details, including IP, destination path, and credentials. Once archived, recordings can be played directly from the archival server without requiring a restore. The system ensures that files are not purged from the recorder unless they are successfully archived, and encrypted files remain encrypted during transfer and storage, maintaining data integrity and security.

Selective Recording

The Recording Rules Management feature enables users to define dynamic call recording behavior based on configurable conditions such as phone number patterns, time ranges, days of the week, and screen capture preferences. Each rule determines whether a call should be recorded or not and can be prioritized using a drag-and-drop interface, with higher-priority rules overriding lower ones. Users can add, edit, delete, and reorder rules to control selective recording more precisely. Additionally, permissions can be defined per rule to allow specific users or groups to view, download, or delete associated recordings. This feature provides granular control over recording logic and supports efficient resource management across the contact center.

CX Voice Call Recordings

In the EFCX Deployment Profile, VRS now supports recording of Consult Conference, Barge-In Conference, and External Number calls. This update ensures broader coverage of voice interactions within customer service scenarios.

Note

Call Recording Encryption is kept disabled for both Cisco and EFCX Deployment Profiles in this version.
