This patch release, based on CX5.0.2, strengthens security and meets enterprise compliance requirements.
Tenant-Level Two-factor Authentication
CX now supports tenant-level Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via Email for both Agent Desk and Unified Admin logins.
When agents/administrators enable 2FA at the tenant level, log in with their usual credentials, and then confirm their identity with a One-Time Password (OTP) sent through a configured Email channel. The platform securely manages OTP generation, expiry, and validation, records 2FA activity for auditing, and integrates with the existing CX authentication flow.
SMS-based 2FA via Twilio has been removed from the Two-factor Authentication service in this release. SMS support will be reintroduced in a future release using an Expertflow-managed SMS channel.
